Bjørn Kassøe Andersen
Bjørn Kassøe Andersen is founder and owner of Direction Group. He is an experienced and highly creative communications strategist and systems coach. He creates value by helping clients initiate seemingly small but essential changes that activate leadership and processes of growth and evolution applying an integral framework. He masters story-telling and has deep understanding of global media and public relations as well as personal and collective development.
Bjorn has worked as a senior free agent for Sigma (see reference) on international assignments for companies such as Lego (global launch of Lego Mindstorms) and Oticon (global launch of the world’s first digital hearing aid). He was communications advisor to the Council for IT Security under the Danish Ministry of Science. In 2008 he was actively involved in establishing the new independent Danish Council for Greater IT-security where he now has the role as communications manager.
He was also advisor to the IBI Group, now part of Sjælsø and he has carried out assignments for The Confederation of Danish Industries.
In the 1990’s he was a business journalist, first at Monday Morning, a highly influential Danish newspaper and think tank, and later at the leading Danish business newspaper, Børsen, where he reported from the frontier of the booming internet.
All of his adult life Bjørn has had an interest in personal and collective development, spiritual growth and meditation. Among his sources of inspiration are the Spiral Dynamics theoretical framework, integral theory as developed by American philosopher Ken Wilber and others, Peter Senge and C. Otto Scharmer from MIT Leadership Center, and Danish spiritual teacher Jes Bertelsen as well as other spiritual teachers.
Together with his wife he has built an environmentally sustainable house in central Jutland where they in year 2000 pioneered the carbon neutral neighbourhood, Skovdalen, now also the the location of Direction Group’s office.
